Please- Don't Pay for Shipping

I do not pay for shipping.  Okay, occasionally I do, but I try not to pay more than $5 to have my stuff shipped to me or to a gift recipient.

Many retailers offer free shipping promotion codes several times a year.  The holiday season is the best time to get free shipping discounts; however, there is hope during all of the other seasons.  By using Google as well as http://www.freeshipping.org you can usually find some sort of code that will save you a couple of dollars.

At Freeshipping.org, you will find a list of online retailers as well as a list of merchandise categories.  If you have a store in mind, you can search for a free shipping promo code on the site, but if you have a certain type of item that you're looking for you can look for stores that sell the item that offer free shipping.

If you use Google to find free shipping, use the appropriate search terms.  For example, if you want to buy something from target.com, search "target free shipping" or "free shipping code target".

Additionally, Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com offer free shipping every day with your order of $25 or more.  If you're having a hard time buying $25 worth of stuff from Amazon, use this tool to find a filler item: http://www.filleritem.com/ .  I wouldn't find a filler item for more than $2-$3, though.  That would defeat the purpose of free shipping!
