Last Minute Christmas Shopping Coupons

Hello Everyone!  Happy Holidays!

As those of you shopping for Christmas are well aware, there are only four days left to find goodies for your loved ones to unwrap on Christmas morning.  For those of you searching for last minute gifts (and this category shockingly includes me, the Femme Frugal herself!), I've scoped out some great printable coupons for you, as it is too late for you to order online unless you pay through the nose for express shipping (which can start around $17!).

The best deals to be had in the days before Christmas are found in the stores.  If you absolutely must shop online, you are going to pay for your procrastination both through not-so-great sale prices and shipping.  Also, when you shop online, especially for clothing, you'll find that many sizes and colors are out of stock.  It is much easier to find sale items in a physical store because if they are out of stock in one size and color, you can actually see and feel different alternatives to the items you chose.

Some stores, such as Aeropostale.com, are offering free shipping on ordres $100+ before Christmas.  This type of deal is few and far between, but if you come across it- take advantage if you plan on spending the minimum.  DO NOT BUY $100 OF UNNEEDED ITEMS just to get the free shipping!  Hopefully you've learned by reading my blog that it is not a bargain if you spend more unnecessarily.

On to the promised coupons (click to enlarge and print, some are links away from FemmeFrugale).  All offers expire 12/24 unless otherwise noted:

Things Remembered, $5 off any purchase:

Yankee Candle, $10 off $25 purchase:

Express, 25% off of any purchase:

Gap, 20% off any purchase (1/30/2010):

Lord & Taylor, 20% off any purchase:

*finding coupons wasn't difficult.  www.couponcabin.com was my greatest source.

Black Friday Galore, plus some cyber deals!

This is it. The professional shopper's holiday. The sale days of all sale days. Its like President's day, Columbus Day, the day after Christmas, and 4th of July sales all combined. Black Friday.

A very cool Black Friday feature this year (or not so cool if you realize that a lagging economy is the reason behind it) is that many Black Friday sales are available online starting TODAY, Thanksgiving day. Retailers such as Walmart, Sears, Kohls, and Target are all starting their sales online on 11/26.

Now, you may not feel like going out today to buy the paper. Or perhaps you're feeling a little lazy from the triptophan in your turkey dinner. No worries, the Femme Frugal is here to help. Here are a few of my favorite deals, listed by store. All deals I list by store are in-store prices. Any online deals will be listed separately by the store's website. For example, there is a difference between Target and Target.com.

Aeropostale.com & PS4U.com (Aeropostale's kids' store)

50%-70% off of everything (excluding fragrances and clearance)
Web-busters on the website
Free Aero teddy bear with purchase of $100 or more

Amazon.com
Black Friday specials all weekend on all different kinds of merchandise, at all different times of day. For a list of what's coming up, see this website.

Fujifilm Fine Pix Camera, Memory card, & Case for $79.99 (thanks bfads.net)

Bananarepublic.com
30% off all sweaters and outerwear, online only and free shipping on orders $50+.

Bed Bath and Beyond
20% off your ENTIRE in-store purchase 11/27&11/28 only. Print the coupon below:

Chicos
20% off your entire purchase- click here for coupon

Express.com

20% off your entire online purchase. Use coupon code 4391

INGdirect.com
Sale on Certificates of Deposit (CD) tomorrow only, details not yet released. There is no minimum deposit.

Jcrew.com
20% off purchase of sale items using coupon code EXTRA20

Macys-
Polo pillows, medium to extra firm $6.99 (11/27 5am-1pm only)

Target:
Men's jeans, made by Wrangler (but are not Wrangler brand)- $8
Sherpa lined hoodies for the whole family- $10 adult, $7 kids
20-piece T-Fal cookware set- $49.99

Enjoy shopping, and remember these tips during your Black Friday Extravaganza:
  1. Only buy what you can afford. Its not a bargain if you can't pay for it.
  2. Pay cash so that you don't spend what you don't have (EVEN if the store is offering an extra 20% off with a credit card...)
  3. Friends and family would rather have your love and know that you're financially sound than have an expensive present.
  4. Its the thought that counts, not the price. I promise.

Black Friday Ads, EARLY!!

Make your Black Friday attack plan earlier than Thursday night--

Visit blackfriday.info to get a list of Black Friday sale products from dozens of stores.  The products are in list form with prices, and you can also see scans of the print ads!

Another site that offers the same type of advantage is http://bfads.net/.  Their ad scans are easier to read, but they don't offer the product "list" option that blackfriday.info does. However, bfads.net does offer a list of online deals by store.

FREE $15 from Kodak

Considering I couldn't do much else yesterday since I was sick, I decided I was going to make my annual Christmas card as well as organize my digital photos and have some of them printed.  I really like Kodak Gallery's website- the layout is nice and the price is right, plus the products are close to incredible.  Kodakgallery.com is also very reliable and ships quickly (I swear I'm not working for them!).  Kodakgallery.com is a bargain with their 9 cent prints, and if I'm in a hurry I can pay a little extra and pick them up same-day at a store near me.

At checkout, I decided that it was time to search for some coupons when I came across this link, in partnership with UPromise: Free $15 Gift from Kodak.  Until December 1, you can get $15 worth of FREE STUFF from kodakgallery.com.  All you pay is shipping.  Yesterday I got 64 prints and 10 custom Christmas cards for $5 in shipping charges.  At kodakgallery.com you can also make photo books, mugs, calendars, and even a t-shirt with Uncle Bob's favorite nephew's face right on it.

Any company giving away $15 worth of free stuff is worth my business, especially one as reputable as kodakgallery.com.  They also offer 40% off your first order if you are a new member.  Additionally, if you're a member of UPromise (a FREE college savings account for kids, details in another post), you get 8% back on your purchase.

Go ahead, click the link and spread some holiday cheer (and save some holiday dough).

Loving a Bargain & Another Holiday Shopping Tip

Holiday Shopping Tip:  Most likely that "hottest toy of the season" is not going to go on sale, and the closer we get to the holidays, the faster it is going to fly off of the shelves.  If a child you love wants the "it" toy, your best bet is to go out and buy it now so that you can guarantee it to be under the tree or given by the light of the menorah!

Okay, folks, this coupon is truly something to be excited about.  For a limited time, the already bargain-filled Christmas Tree Shops is offering 20% off your ENTIRE PURCHASE with the following coupon.  I have gotten some incredible deals at this store, and with the extra 20% off, it truly is a value.  Enjoy, and share it with a friend! :)

Sales Abound & Holiday Shopping Tips

With Christmas coming (wait... did we celebrate Thanksgiving yet??) and the economy hoping for a quick pick-me-up in consumer sales, stores are already offering some great discounts and sales to help us in our gift giving this holiday season.  Here are some great sales from GAP, Bath & Body Works, and Aeropostale.  I'm sure there will be more to come later in the week, if not more later in the day.

A quick holiday shopping tip:  START NOW.  Not only will you not be putting out loads of cash at the last minute, but by spending over time you'll be able to scout out prices.  By spreading your holiday spending and watching for sales, you'll more than likely save on those great surprises you want to give your loved ones.

Also, remember:  if you don't have the money, don't buy it.  I'm sure your loved one would rather receive a heartfelt card instead of knowing that you went into debt to buy them a gift.

 Now, onto the sales:

GAP-  Print the following coupon for 30% in-store or online.  Additionally, 5% of your purchase total will go to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.  You can use this coupon as many times as you like!

Bath & Body Works:  20% off of your entire online purchase using the code below! (TWENTYOFF)

Aeropostale:  50% off tops... no coupon code necessary, plus free shipping on orders of $100 or more

K-Mart's Black Friday Ad Leaked!

If you're looking for a Black Friday bargain, you don't have to wait until Thanksgiving.  K-Mart made an oops and accidentally published their Black Friday ad online.  My source?  MSN.com, so we know its reliable.  Visit theblackfriday.com for a list of deals.

My personal favorite deals are select $8.99 BluRays and the Sony Ciber Shot 10MP digital camera for $99.99 (when I'm not shopping for clothes, I'm a tech geek!).  I'll be stalking out K-Mart for that camera at 5am the day after Thanksgiving!

Covet.com- An excellent online shopping tool

www.covet.com

Ahh, Facebook. It affords me the never ending satisfaction of letting 400 people know what I'm doing every second of the day. It allows me to silently find out what people I knew in high school are doing these days. Additionally, I can Facebook chat with any one of my friends, even if I haven't seen or heard from them in years. If there is one internet tool I can say I truly love, it is Facebook. This evening, Facebook gifted me the pleasure of reconnecting with my friend Stacy from college. She happened to click on my blog and realized that she had some helpful websites to share with me which in turn I could then share with my faithful readers. After checking out, well, everything she sent me, I am eternally grateful to her for my next six or seven blog features. So, thanks Stacy!

I would like to introduce all of you to Covet. This isn't necessarily a "bargain" website, but it is an excellent tool to help you find the styles you like at a price you love. Covet features stylish desitner women's clothing and accessories. It doesn't sell anything directly, but combs retailers' websites for you, and then sends you e-mails indicating it has found price & style matches for you.

When you sign up, you first use Covet's "Stylizer", which is a fun way for Covet to determine articles of clothing, accessories, and shoes that fit your style (you can always add and subtract styles & designers later). Next, you tell covet your sizes and suitable price ranges. Then, you wait for the daily or twice weekly e-mails for which you signed up. Its that easy!

Another awesome feature- Covet pays you for referrals! For every 10 friends you invite that sign up for Covet, you get a $10 Amex gift card-- which you can then spend on the great stuff Covet discovers and then sends to your inbox!

Have you met Jane?

Recently I've been searching for new places to shop online.  Granted, I love Amazon.com, Ebay, and the online retaliers about which I typically post (Ann Taylor, GAP brands, Victoria's Secret), but occasionally I want a funky fashion piece for which I'm not willing to pay a lot.  Why not?  Because usually the piece is "out-there" or something I won't wear every day.  By all means, spend what you feel you need to on pieces that you can wear every day or several times- like a little black dress, or camisoles- but when I want to buy zebra or cheetah print shoes, I don't intend on spending more than $20.  That's where Jane comes in.

GoJane (www.gojane.com) is a hip place to shop for those of us who like the funky and off beat as well as the basics, and the prices are spectacular.  I'm currently shopping for, yes, cheetah print shoes, and GoJane has them for a mere $11 (+$5 shipping).  There's a "deal of the week section" (pictured below), and my personal favorite, "Steals and Deals".

Source: www.gojane.com

GoJane is definitely a site worth looking into.  I haven't ordered clothing, therefore I'm not sure of the quality; however, as I said before, for that funky once-in-awhile fashion piece, I'd say GoJane is a sure bet.

Friends & Family Sales at Aeropostale and Express Stores

Gee, Friends & Family seems to be the trend, doesn't it?  Below are 2 friends and family coupons that may be worth your trouble.  20% off at Express doesn't seem to be that generous, but you can use this coupon on redlines.  Combine 20% off with a generally good Express clearance rack and you have yourself a bargain.  You can use this coupon online or in-store either today (August 7) or tomorrow (August 8).

The 30% off merchandise at Aeropostale (except clearance) in addition to their already low prices and great deals is a coupon worth having.  Aeropostale also has a kids line now, called P.S.  I'm not sure if this coupon can be used there, but it's worth a try.  I'm going to try it today!  This coupon is good until Sunday, August 9.

Some pretty excellent sales you may not want want to miss...

First, let's start this post with jeans.  And not just any jeans, but skinny jeans.  I don't know about you, but I love them.  Mostly because they fit!  AOL Shopping has some great skinny jeans listed at this link starting at just $14.97!  Brands include Levi's and American Eagle plus many more.

Second, the Ann Taylor Friends & Family sale started yesterday.  This coupon code will get you 30% off at Ann Taylor & Ann Taylor LOFT and 15% off at their outlet store.  Plus, any order $125 or more gets free shipping.  This sale ends on Sunday, August 9.  The code you need to use is friends30 at online checkout, or you can print out the coupon below and take it to the store.

Gap Give & Get

In my e-mail inbox today I received from GAP an invitation to take part in their friends and family program.  Besides getting 30% off for myself, I was given 25 coupon codes to give to, well, friends and family.  When you use my coupon code at gap from July 30-August 2, not only will you get 30% off, but 5% of your purchase amount will be donated to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.  So, shop for the kids! :)

Please comment with your e-mail address, or send your e-mail address to femmefrugale@gmail.com to receive this coupon from me*.  The first 25 responses will get coupon codes that can be used for ALL Gap brands (Old Navy, GAP, Banana Republic, & Athleta... not sure about Piper Lime).

*The coupon will come directly from GAP, but with my e-mail address on it, so you may have to check your spam folder for the coupon.

Gap, Banana Republic, and Victoria's Secret

Today I popped into both Gap and Banana Republic.  They were having an amazing sale that isn't over until the weekend is up!  Here are some examples of my conquests for the day:

Gap:
Purple Skirt: $8 (originally $29.50)
Brown Capri Pants: $5.25 (originally $19.50)

Banana:
Men's half zip sweater: $12.97 (originally $79)
Men's long sleeve waffle tee: $6.97 (originally $39)
Women's silk shirt: $10 (originally $79)
Women's flood pants: $14.97 (originally $79)

I suggest getting in there ASAP.  Plus, at GAP there is an additional 25% off sale prices, and at Banana Republic you'll get a 10% coupon at the register that is activated if you take an online survey about your in-store experience.

Victoria's secret is also having a great sale!  I wish I'd had this offer code last week when I bought a bathing suit (2 pieces!) for just $24!  This is an online only sale and the code is 40save.

Bargains at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Today I was in New York at the Metropolitan Museum of Art working hard to find Aristotelian examples of friendship in different types of art.  As I was perusing through the Greek Art section, I noticed a small alcove that had a sign reading "Samples & Seconds Sale".  Almost everything was $1 or $2.  EVERYTHING.  Children's books and toys, books, posters, stationary, umbrellas, clothing, and home decor.  There are some incredible values at the Met if you have the chance to get down there.

If you don't live near the Met, you can take advantage of their clearance sale either at the mall (Short Hills Mall in New Jersey has a Met store) or online.  The clearance sale doesn't have anything for $1 (except postcards), but there are some great bargains on wonderful books and art memorabilia.

I also want to encourage you to go to the museum if you can to see the Afghanistan exhibit and the Models as Muse exhibit.  They were both quite amazing!

1/2 Off All Men's Items at Old Navy!

When I walked into the mall and passed Old Navy yesterday I couldn't believe my eyes.  Right there, in the window, was a sign that stated that all men's items (except for clearance) are 50% off now through June 21 (Father's Day).  Since I thought it was simply too good to be true, I walked into the store to take a look, and in fact all men's items ARE 50% off!

Folks, this is a sale not to miss.  Old Navy's clothes are of decent quality (I have some things that didn't last very long, and others that have lasted for years) and are very reasonably priced, so if you poke around the store you will most certainly find something you love for the men in your life that is inexpensive enough for you to call it a bargain.

Here are some examples of prices in the store:
  • Khaki pants (men's): $12.50
  • Boxer shorts: $4.25/pair
  • Polos: $7.00-$8.00
  • Old Navy Flag T-Shirts: $2.50
Remember, this sale only applies to men's garments, but while you are in there you are very likely to find a bargain in the women's section without having to look very hard.  There are also kids' items for $10 or less!

This sale is ONLY available in the store, so sorry, no shopping in your jammies today!

JUICY COUTURE UNDIES- $6.90 at Nordstrom.com

These sell out very, very quickly, so if you'd like these Juicy Couture boyshorts (in a cute little lollipop shape!), I suggest jumping on them now.

JCrew- Extra 20% off Sale, online only!

JCrew double sale! 20% off all online sale merchandise. This sale only lasts until Wednesday, June 10, so jump on it quickly if you can. :)

Deals for Dad

Father's Day is coming up very quickly: June 21 to be exact. Why not score some awesome deals for your dad, or any fatherly figure in your life.

Two sales that I've found so far are from Express and Golfsmith. The Golfsmith coupon is okay. The best benefit is that it can be used online, on the phone, or in-store. The Express sale on dress shirts is much more impressive. I'll continue to update you as more sales for Father's Day come my way!

Ann Taylor Sale & Shop It To Me

Ann Taylor is having a great sale online this week!  There are several items that were originally $69 or more going for $9.88.  Ann Taylor is also offering $50 off any order of $150 or more with the promo code 104005158 until June 2.

I'd also like to take a moment to tell you about Shop It To Me- this is a website and newsletter that tells you about sales at a collection of stores.  When you sign up, you choose stores, sizes, and styles about which you'd like to be alerted daily.  Shop It To Me will send you the latest sales on your selections!  I get lots of great tips from Shop It To Me.  Shop It To Me will also make sure that the store has the sale item available in your size!
Also, the more friends you invite, the greater your chances are of earning $10 gift cards to stores of your choice.  See it at http://www.shopittome.com.  If you'd like an invitation, send me an e-mail or a comment with your e-mail address.

Pink Nation by Victoria's Secret: Free stuff!

I'm crazy about Victoria's Secret (VS) Pink underwear.  Just ask anyone.  I go to the mall, and I blow a hard earned $25 on 5 pairs of Pink undies practically every time.  When VS had a sale for 5/$20 undies, I was on it.  Now I've discovered Pink Nation, a promotional site by VS that you can join to receive coupons and free offers.  Right now, they're offering a printable coupon for a free Bling panty and a printable coupon for $10 off your $35 purchase.  The only catch with the panty is that you have to make a Pink purchase that is less than $7.50 for the "free" panty to be worth getting!

(screen shot of the Pink Nation member screen)

Go to www.vspink.com to join and get your coupon!

Gap Sale- AWESOME

Why hello ladies and gentlemen.  Boy do I have a sale to share with you today.  Gap has once again come through with excellent prices for all of us frugal people out there in search of quality and a bargain.

Almost all sale merchandise at the Gap is an extra 40% off.  The best part is that its not a mish-mosh of merchandise that no one else wanted.  There is quality clothing on the racks, and the sale is all throughout the store, not just in the back clearance section (though that is where the best bargains can be found).  I'm not sure when the sale ends, so if you want to take advantage I'd go to the store (or to the website, though the store has better deals) soon.

Additionally, Fortunoff is in its final stages of liquidation.  Practically everything in the store including FINE CHINA and flatware, is 50% off.  I bought an Analon bakeware set that comes with 2 9" baking pans and 2 cooling racks for a mere $12.00.  There were also a lot of other really great things that I plan on going back for in the near future.  You may think that the stock is very low considering the percentage off, but it is not.  Trust me, practically everything you could possibly want from Fortunoff is in stock.  Now is the time to go take a look because I'm not sure if they'll be open much longer, and I don't know when the sales will go to 60% off, if ever.  I get e-mail notifications, so I'll let you know when I do.

Happy shopping!

Americans May Continue to be Frugal After the Recession Ends.

It always pleases me to hear that ore andmore people are switching to the femme frugal way of life.  The New York Times reports that long after the recession ends people may continue to watch their spending.  Read the article by clicking here.

Though NYT does tell us that the switch from super spender to super saver 1. can have negative effect on business owners, and 2. doesn't come from lessons learned but from changes in the way the economy runs due to the recent decline.  I think an overhaul of the way we view our spending, both by the consumer and by businesses is long past due.

Enjoy the article.

Pathmark now takes internet coupons!

FYI:

Many food stores will not take internet coupons; however, I've just read in the Pathmark ad that they are now accepting coupons printed from the internet.  Be sure to visit couponmom.com to get your free printable coupons. (In order to print the coupons, you'll have to download a special coupon printing program.  Its easy to download and install, so don't worry if you're not tech savvy.)

Pathmark Deal of the week: Kellogg's cereals are on sale 4 for $6.  If you go to couponmom.com, you can print separate coupons for $1 off all of the cereals listed in the ad, thus getting 4 boxes of cereal for $2.  That's 50 cents each!

restaurant.com: $25 restaurant gift certificates for only $10

So restaurant.com seems like its too good to be true.  They offer several denominations of restaurant gift certificates for way less than the face value; $25 gift certificates cost you $10, and no membership is required except for a username to keep track of your purchases.   Cool, right?

These gift certificates, however, are not true gift certificates.  They're more like coupons because they have requirements and stipulations for use.  For example, you can buy a $25 "gift certificate" to Acapella on Hudson Street in New York City for $10; however it is only valid on a 3 course meal, and there is a $50 minimum food purchase.  You also can't use a second "gift certificate".

Restaurant.com seems like a good idea, but make sure that you read the exclusions and minimums on the gift certificate before you buy.  This may not be such a great deal for you after all.

Free KFC Grilled Chicken

Thanks, Oprah!  KFC, with spokeswoman Oprah (?), is offering 2 pieces of free grilled chicken, 2 individual sides, and a biscuit free of charge if you print this coupon before 9:59pm central time.  Coupons are good until 5/16/09.  Enjoy your free meal by clicking here.

cb2.com: A less expensive Crate & Barrel?

This morning I was clicking around the Crate & Barrel website when I found a link for CB2.  When I clicked it, I couldn't believe my eyes.  It is a less expensive, hipper alternative to the Crate & Barrel styles that I have come to know, love, and lust for.

CB2 features all of the same types of products as their parent, C&B.  If you're a college student decorating a campus apartment, just got your first job, or if you're making a modest salary (like myself) but don't want to skimp on style, CB2 seems like the place to go.  I've been reading web reviews since I found out about CB2, and it seems as though people are quite happy with the quality of the products, as well.  The only complaint is slow shipping, but I suppose some things are worth waiting for!

If you've ever ordered from CB2, or if you do because of this post, please drop me a reply to let me know how you like your product.  I'm going to be ordering this lovely pitcher for a mere $5.95:

This photo was taken directly from the cb2 website.
Enjoy!

Freeflys.com: Free samples, no hassles!

The best things in life are free, and if you're looking for free samples, Freeflys is the place to go.  I've received numerous free samples by using this service to help eke them out.   Companies are often happy to give away small quantities of new items because they want customers to try these items.  If you decide you like the item, you're more likely to buy the full size item from the store, thus building a loyalty base for that company.  So don't be bashful, companies want you to have their freebies!

Some examples of the samples I've received are L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner, Dunkin Donuts coffee, and yes, even flushable doggie bags for Fluffy.  The site offers a wide array of different things to try and categorizes the samples for you.  The samples do not come directly from freeflys.com.  The links you click will redirect you to the manufacturer's websites where you will enter your personal information.

The only part of the site that I caution you of is the samples and freebies that are "too good to be true" like the link that offers free Coach and Dooney & Bourke bags .  Often whenyou click these you have to sign up and pay for a certain amount of "offers" from the sponsors of these programs.  This doesn't make the bag free and sometimes you have to sign up for so many offers that you're paying more than you would for the bag.  Please, I beg you, do not click on these.  Save yourself the time, money, and trouble.

Couponcabin.com

Another cool feature of Coupon Cabin is their weekly newsletter and dashboard widget.  The weekly newsletter is delivered by e-mail every Monday.  Coupon Cabin shares with their followers some of their newest/best coupon deals.  The best part of this is the predictability and reliability of the e-mail.  You're guaranteed to get the e-mail every Monday and ONLY on Monday, thus Coupon Cabin doesn't fill your inbox all week long.

The printable coupons are useful at local retailers such as Home Depot and Target.  If you plan on using grocery coupons, make sure you call ahead to your grocery store and ask if they take internet coupons.  One disadvantage of my local Shoprite is that they do not take printed coupons for fear of counterfeiting.  Personally, I think they should get with the program; but that's my issue, not yours!

The dashboard widget is equally useful.  If you're a Mac user like myself, those dashboard widgets come in very handy for weather, calculations, and just for some added entertainment.  By downloading the Coupon Cabin widget, coupons are right at your fingertips on your dashboard.  It allows you to select stores, find out what is going to expire soon, and makes suggestions for you.

Before you make your next online purchase (perhaps for Mother's Day- which you should do soon!), visit Coupon Cabin for some extra savings!

Ideeli.com: Michael Kors and Valentino on Sale today!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE Michael Kors and I LOVE Valentino but I can't always afford to buy these brands; however, today (4/30/09) just might be the day, my friends. The sale on ideeli.com is amazing. If you're a member, check it out. If you're not a member, click here to join, then check out the sale. There are Michael Kors shirts as low as $24, and dresses as low as $42! Sweet!

Silver Jewelry Club: Free Stirling Silver Jewelry

Silver Jewelry Club is one of my favorite websites of all time because they offer genuine Stirling silver jewelry at no cost. The only thing you pay for is shipping, which is $6.99.

As always, when the cost is nill there is a catch, but with Silver Jewelry Club its worth the little bit of effort and the few rules to buying. I've ordered pendants from this website in the past and the quality is amazing and the pieces are beautiful. Most of the jewelry also has semi-precious gems. The pendants I ordered were mostly amethyst. Delivery usually takes between 7 and 10 days. I guarantee you'll be pleased with what you order from Silver Jewelry Club.

Silver Jewelry club gives jewelry for free as a way to introduce new products by their designers. Jewelry is offered for a certain amount of time, and quantities are limited to one piece per style. You can order as many different pieces as you want, though. Items are only available for 15 minutes at a time, so if you want something you need to jump on it otherwise you have to wait for it to be available again, which could take days. Another catch is that any rings offered are only available in one size at a time, meaning you can only order the size they're offering. If that's not your size, you probably shouldn't order it. Also, if you order a pendant it does not come with a chain; however, the website offers chains at an additional cost.

After you place your order, they do not send soliciting e-mails to you EVER unless you sign up for their mailing list!

Ideeli.com

Every once in awhile I learn something new about shopping, and my world gets a little more frugal. Today I share with you my brand new knowledge that has apparently been around for a very long time. My latest discovery, given to me as a tip by a colleague, is ideeli.com. Ideeli is an internet only shoping site that sells designer brands of clothing, home goods, and beauty products (and by designer, I mean COUTURE) at incredibly discounted prices-- up to 80% off; however, to get the great prices there is a catch.

First of all, you have to be invited to join Ideeli. It is a totally free members only shopping site. Luckily for you, I have invitations available- just click here to join. Once you join, these exclusive sales will be available to you but for a limited time and at limited quantities. Free memberships are called "second row" memberships. If you pay $6.99 a month, you are a "first row" member and get dibs at the merchandise one hour before second row members.

Secondly, 80% off doesn't always translate into cheap. 80% off an item that originally cost $1000 is still pricey because it becomes a $200 item. The bargains here depend on how much you value the brand being sold.

Today's deals include cardigans on sale for up to 71% off as well as purses and some amazing shoes. Here's an example from the website:
This brown Cavalli wallet is 70% off its original price. It is gorgeous, it is couture, and it is inexpensive if compared to the regular price. You'll notice that the graphic says Join Wait List. This sale doesn't start for another 2 hours, and the wallet is available for a limited time.

As for the return policy, there are different policies for different items. Some items can't be returned at all, while others can be returned for a store credit: so buyer beware. Only buy something off of ideeli.com if you really really want it. The return policy is listed on each item so that you are aware of what you're getting into with your purchase.

There are other websites that work the same way as Ideeli.com that I will share with you after I've explored them a little more. If you like the idea of ideeli.com, or want to just try it out- its free so give it a look by using the link above to join or just click here to join.

Gap and Land's End: Super Sales with Super Savings

Two more great sales, folks, courtesy of Laura & Deb. Land's End and Gap are offering some seriously wonderful deals in order to boost sales. Perhaps with the sudden burst of warm weather (in the North East, at least) you're noticing that you are in dire need for some new spring and summer clothes. Maybe you just want to give yourself a treat. These two stores are great for basics that last for years because of the quality of the merchandise. Enjoy these coupons and your new clothes & accessories.

Also, watch out for a new article on Femme-Frugal: Getting great deals in Outlet Stores.

Papyrus and Barnes & Noble for all your paper needs!

Thanks to the fabulousness of my colleague and friend Deb I am able to come up for air in my entirely too hectic academic schedule and share these amazing offers with you. The first two are from Barnes and Noble, and the third is from Papyrus.

Again, what's great about these offers is that you don't have to spend a minimum amount of money in order to cash in. The only downside to these is that you have to order online, and therefore in most cases must pay shipping fees. At bn.com, though, if you spend $25 shipping is FREE.

Speaking of Mother's Day, have you started shopping yet?
I'm not sure I've ever really told anyone, but I absolutely adore Papyrus. From the writing paper, to the wrapping paper, to the ribbons and bows I have always wanted to receive a gift from this store (or give one, even). Perhaps with this 30% coupon I'll be feeling generous.

Great Ann Taylor Coupon- No Minimum Purchase

This is the coupon I've been waiting for from Ann Taylor. Typically when they send a coupon, I have to spend a particular amount of money (usually $100) to take advantage of the "savings". With this Friends and Family coupon, there is NO minimum purchase. That's right: Save 30% off your entire order in store or online without having to meet any requirements except for having the coupon if you're shopping in-store or the coupon code if you're shopping online. Additionally, you can save 15% off at the Ann Taylor Factory and LOFT outlet. Talk about savings on top of savings.

Be sure to print this coupon before you leave for the store!

Macy's Earth Day Coupon Sale- Today Only

When I got this e-mail this morning I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to post this sale, because honestly it is going to be a difficult one to actually save with. However, if you buy the coupon, 100% of the coupon profit goes to the National Park Service. Being someone who tries to be green, why not use my shopping habit to also save the earth? Its like killing 2 birds with one stone.

If you decide to purchase this 20% off one single entire shopping order coupon for $5, you can be sure that your $5 will go to the National Park Service and that 20% of your shopping order at Macy's or macys.com will go in your pocket; however, if you're interested in both saving the earth and saving some cash, make sure that you will be spending more than $35.00 on your shopping order today so that your savings break even with what you spend on your coupon. This coupon is one time use so all $35 needs to be spent in a single order. If you don't care and simply want to donate $5 to the NPS, that's also great, but the point of my blog is to give you tips and tricks to actually save money.

Click the pictures below to get your online ticket or to find your nearest Macy's store. This sale is good today only, Saturday April 25!

Old Navy Weekly Deals

Old Navy publishes a weekly deals ad on their website.  Some of the finds at this place for everyday basics are SPECTACULAR.  Until April 30, 2009 they are offering men's basic flip flops 2/$5.  $2.50 for flip flops makes me want to jump up and down.  Old Navy also has women's basic flip flops for $5 per pair, and an incredibly cute babydoll tank for, you guessed it, $5!

Each week at oldnavyweekly.com you can also click around for one of several printable coupons that they offer.  Old Navy makes it like an online scavenger hunt so you have to click through all the sales to find the coupon.  This activity is fun if you have the time, but if you don't it is more of a hindrence.  If I ever find the coupon, I'll be sure to post it for you.

Baby Gap & Nike sale This Weekend,

I'm not sure if you have a little one at home (I don't) but if you do, or know someone that does, it might be worth checking out this sale at Baby Gap this weekend. You get 25% more off of any sale item. The sale is both in-store and online. If you choose to shop online you need the coupon code BABY. If you go to the store, there is absolutely no coupon necessary for redemption of the sale.

Because the weather is getting nice, perhaps you're looking to score some great clothes for exercising. It is almost swim suit season, you know, so its time to get up and start moving! Nike.comwww.gap.com is having an online sale on all of its clearance merchandise. You can get brand new Nike gear for an extra 20% off by using the coupon code TRAINHARD.

The weather in the north east is supposed to be absolutely beautiful (and at times a little warm) this weekend. Enjoy the outdoors, and enjoy the sales.

Bed Bath & Beyond Clearance Sale

I just returned from a quick Bed Bath & Beyond excursion and much to my delight I scored a Ritz neoprene oven mitt that goes to the elbow for a mere $3.99! Seeing as I was in need of a new oven mitt and that typically the ones I buy aren't long enough (and I end up burning my arms) this was quite the find for me. If you want, you can see a video testing the oven mitt I bought on expotv.com by clicking here.

There were several items on clearance at BB&B today about which anyone could get excited. For instance, 3 piece kitchen sets were 50% off, so it was $5 for 2 towels and a pot holder, or $7 for a towel, a pot holder, and an oven mitt. They were especially cute patterns, too: artichokes, chianti, coffee, and other plaids. No solid colors, though. Several window treatments were on sale starting at $9.99, and seasonal tableware was on sale starting at $3.59. If you think ahead to fall, you can get a linen fall table cloth for $4.99 + 20% off (because of your coupon!)

When you go to BB&B never never forget to bring a 20% coupon or a $5 off a $15 purchase coupon if you plan on making a purchase of $15 or more. You can use as many coupons as you have items, and they take expired coupons, so save all the ones you get in the mail! If you'd like to start receiving coupons in the mail, you can sign up at bedbathandbeyond.com. You can sign up for their e-mail list, too, if you like. Note: Any coupons that you print at home for BB&B can only be used until the expiration date. They do not take expired printed coupons.

My only gripe about this in-store clearance sale is that I couldn't find any discounted products in the kitchen gadgets section (its my obsession). However, there were so many other great things deeply discounted that you're bound to find something you want for a more than fair price, so go ahead and check out Bed Bath & Beyond if you have some time this weekend.

Sale Alert: Juicy Couture Necklace @ Nordstrom

I'm never one to pass up a great Juicy Couture find. This necklace, originally $48.00 is now listed at nordstrom.com for $23.90. If you can pick it up at the store you can avoid a shipping fee. Luckily "store pick up" is an option on the website! Click on the screen shot below to view the necklace on Nordstrom website.

And as a quick shopper tip, if you wait long enough you can usually get many Juicy items at a reduced price. By reduced I mean more than 30% off. For instance, I bought a Juicy Couture wallet at Bloomingdales for $26 this January, and it was originally $70. I got it for 30% off its clearance price. Always be patient, the sale will come.

Sephora Deal: Excellent find

I just received this e-mail from Sephora and had to share it with you. They are offering a Sephora brand "Glamour Grid" for a mere $22. Now, I'm sure that you're thinking that $22 for makeup is a little high considering drug store make-up runs in the $7-$10 area; however, this Glamour Grid has 36 eye shadows, 12 lip glosses, 3 blushes and 1 bronzer, plus the mini brushes you need as applicators. Even if you only use a couple of the colors of each type of make-up, you're still spending less than $7 per color.

All this makeup & applicators for $22!
All this makeup & applicators for $22!

Also, if you're a Facebooker, by sending a Sephora Bag Facebook "gift" to a friend, you can get a real Sephora bag for free with your next purchase (which could possibly be the Glamour Grid!) Click on the graphic for more info.

Lord & Taylor Coupon: No Credit Card Required

If you have some extra cash this weekend, feel free to take yourself down to Lord & Taylor for 25% off practically everything in the store if you use this coupon. Combine this coupon with their clearance merchandise (which is typically some really well priced designer clothing or bags) and you've got yourself a deal.

Combine this with clearance merchandise and you can get yourself a good deal. Print more than one and bring a friend!

Website Recommendation: Coupon Mom

Have you ever heard of Coupon Mom? I am a part of their mailing list and I often score great coupons and freebees by reading their site. It is completely free to join and they e-mail you a useful list of deals each week.

http://www.couponmom.com/

The front page of the Coupon Mom website
The front page of the Coupon Mom website

Couponmom.com isn't the friendliest looking website; however some of the deals are worth searching. I received a free sample of L'Oreal color safe shampoo and of Dunkin' Donuts coffee because I clicked through one of couponmom's e-mails. What's also great are the several sources of free printable grocery coupons as well as coupons to stores such as Target and Walmart.

My last praise of couponmom.com is to say that in their weekly e-mails they find deals for you. The e-mail lists stores and tells you how to get free or close to free items. For example, you can get Bayer Aspirin for free at CVS.

Happy online deal digging!

A Coupon Gift from Laura: Bloomingdales

This Bloomingdales coupon is courtesy of my friend Laura at work who thought it would be perfect for my blog. The coupon certainly goes with the coupon theme of today.

Suggestions:

  • Use this coupon in-store if you can to avoid shipping fees, as Bloomies charges shipping on any purchase under $150.
  • Deals are often better in-store. The clearance rack tends to have more "unique" items. If there's only one of something left, generally its not online; however it is deeply discounted in the store. I bought a Juicy Couture wristlet just last month from Bloomingdales for under $30. Too bad I didn't have this coupon.
  • Since Bloomingdales tends to be pricey, avoid regularly priced items. Just because its 20% off DOESN'T mean its a good deal.
  • Happy bargain hunting!
